LAHORE: A judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, on Wednesday recused himself from hearing the petition filed by former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi seeking details of the cases registered against him.
The file was returned to the chief justice of LHC.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pervaiz Elahi has filed a petition seeking details of the cases registered against him.
In the petition, the Punjab IG and others have been made respondents. The petitioner has taken the plea that the cases are being registered on political basis.
Pervaiz Elahi requested the court to issue order for providing details of the cases registered against him.
