Smart safe city projects to be set up in 18 cities
LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) have signed an agreement to establish smart safe city projects in 18 cities.
PSCA MD Ahsan Younis and NRTC representative Syed Amir Javed signed the agreement during a meeting attended by provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, IG Police, Secretary Finance and others.
Air quality index monitoring and environment sensors would also be installed in these safe city projects. The projects in Gujrat, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Okara and Taxila will become functional by end of May and in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzzafargarh, Sahiwal, Jhang, Attock, Hassan Abdal, DG Khan, Sialkot, Okara, Mianwali will be completed by the end of the current year.
