NOWSHERA: Unidentified armed robbers snatched a taxicab, cash and mobile phone at gunpoint from a driver on Taru Jabba-Akbarpura road on Sunday.
Fazal Raziq, a resident of Peshawar, told Akbarpura police that he was a cabdriver and he started his routine work in Peshawar.
He said that three robbers, who had disguised themselves as passengers came and rented his car for Akbarpura.
The complainant said that when they reached Government College Akbarpura, the robbers aimed their weapons at him and snatched the car, Rs35,000 cash and a mobile phone from at gunpoint.
The police registered a case and started an investigation. Meanwhile, the police recovered the snatched car abandoned by the robbers.
The police claimed that they would soon arrest the accused and recover the cash and other items snatched from the driver.
