DIG Maqsood reappointed chief of Security Emergency Services
An order issued in this regard reads, In pursuance of the Establishment Division, government of Pakistan
KARACHI: The Sindh government, concerned over the security situation especially in Karachi, has ordered the reappointment of Dr Maqsood Ahmed Memon as chief of the Security and Emergency Services of the Sindh Police.
Officials said the decision was taken on Thursday amid the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches and other security issues facing the city.
An order issued in this regard reads, “In pursuance of the Establishment Division, government of Pakistan, Islamabad’s notification Lt. (Retd.) Dr Maqsood Ahmed, an Officer of Police Service of Pakistan (BS-20), awaiting posting in Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, is posted with immediate effect and until further orders as DIG Security and Emergency Service Division, Karachi Range, against an existing vacancy.”
