FBR orders clearing of sales tax refund claims in 30 days

FBR had stated that they had cleared all verified GST claims of Rs65 billion

ISLAMABAD: On the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued instructions to the field formations to decide all sales tax refund claims in 30 days.

Earlier, the FBR had stated that they had cleared all verified GST claims of Rs65 billion, but it was not yet known how the refunds were provided within such a short time period.

“All chief commissioners concerned have been directed to ensure compliance of these instructions,” said the FBR on Wednesday.
