PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has adjourned the hearing on the plea filed by the father of PTI leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed, seeking details in various cases.
Yesterday, a two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court, comprising Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Waqar Ahmed, conducted the hearing on the petition. During the proceedings, the petitioner’s lawyer, Advocate Shah Faisal Uthmankhel, informed the court that his client, Saeed Allah, is the father of PTI leader Murad Saeed and wishes to obtain details of the cases filed against him.
He said the petitioner’s residence is being raided, and they are unaware of the details of the cases. In response, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim remarked that he should surrender first, and then there would be no more raids. To this, the petitioner’s lawyer stated that he would surrender, but there is still a fear of arrest.
Justice Waqar Ahmed inquired if the court grants protective bail to the petitioner, will the petitioner surrender before the court. He said the court granted protective bail to Aatif Khan and Shahram Turkai, and they appeared as promised.
Upon this, the petitioner’s lawyer assured the court that he would speak to his client and inform the court afterwards. After listening to the arguments, the court ordered both parties to prepare for the next hearing and directed them to appear for the next hearing on the admissibility of the request.
