UVAS observes World Spay Day

LAHORE: In order to create awareness about controlling the increasing population of stray dogs through spaying and also through chemical, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore observed World Spay Day here Tuesday.

In this connection Chairman Department of Parasitology Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf led a walk while Emeritus Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Prof Dr Aneela Durrani, Registrar Sajjad Hyder, students and faculty members participated in the walk.

The objective of the day was to sensitise people about the proper ways of controlling the population of stray dogs and cats, not killing them and promoting surgical and chemical ways to control their population.

Meanwhile, the UVAS Lahore has signed an MoU with UM Enterprises to develop cooperation and promote mutual understanding between parties to conduct smooth training, workshops, conference, seminars and other capacity-building activities for leadership and senior management of UM Enterprises.

UVAS Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and Business Head Ammar Malik signed the MoU in a ceremony held at Campus.
