Man shot dead over minor issue

LAHORE:A 30-year-old man was shot dead over a minor dispute in Lohari Gate. Reportedly, victim Adnan had an exchange of harsh words with the suspect over a minor issue near Sheesha Mahal, Moti Bazaar. The suspect was so frustrated that he shot at the victim. He received bullet injuries and died. Body was shifted to morgue.

Woman involved in drugs smuggling arrested

Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff City Division (AVLS) has arrested a woman involved in drugs smuggling in huge quantity from Peshawar to Lahore. Reportedly, an AVLS team on a tip off raided a hideout in Shahdara and arrested a suspect Uzma Jameel who was smuggling drugs from Peshawar to Lahore. However, her husband Jameel fled the scene. Police also recovered 67kg and 10kg opium from her custody.

Worker dies in roof collapse

A 35-year-old man died and two others were injured in an incident of roof collapse of an under-construction house in Ichhra.

The victims reportedly were busy in work on the under-construction house in Rehmanpura when its roof collapsed. The victims received serious injuries and were shifted to hospital. However, a victim identified as Nasir Qadir died. The injured persons were identified as Akram, 34, and Ameen, 45.

Man kills wife

A 25-year-old woman was shot dead by her husband after arguing with her brother and father-in-laws in Factory Area.

Reportedly, the victim Naila, mother of two, had an exchange of harsh words with her brother-in-law Farhan and father-in-law Iqbal at their house at Kamahan Road, Mir Colony. The suspect Qurban opened fire at his wife. She received bullet injuries and died. Police removed the body to morgue.

Two kite-sellers held

Manawan Police arrested two suspects for kite selling. They were identified as Riasat and Bilal. Around 650 kites and three chemical string cords were recovered from their custody.

Meanwhile, Missri Shah police arrested two members of a bike thieves gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Sabir and Hanif. Police also recovered two motorbikes and illegal weapons from their custody.
