Demand to arrest killers of candidate in Bajaur
KHAR: Independent candidate for PK-22, Bajaur, on Monday urged the government to arrest the killers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member and an election candidate Rehanzeb Khan.
Addressing a press conference, Laiqzada Laiq, an independent candidate for PK-22 constituency, said Rehanzeb a candidate for PK-22, who was shot dead at main chowk in broad-daylight but the police were yet to arrest the accused involved in the heinous crime.
He said the police and the district administration had promised that the killers of Rehanzeb would be arrested by February 10 but no arrest could be made so far.Laiqzada Laiq said the murderers of candidate should be arrested forthwith and peace be restored in the restive Bajaur tribal district.It may be mentioned that the Election Commission of Pakistan had postponed the recent general elections on NA-8 and PK-22 due to the killing of Rehanzeb in Bajaur.
