Rangers Director General visits posts at forward locations

Pakistan Rangers Punjab Director General Major General Umar Farooq Burki visited forward posts of Fort Abbas, Mandi Yazman, Kashmoor and Sadiqabad on Tuesday. 

He also visited Khairpur Tamianwali and Kacha area and interacted with the troops. During his visits, he was received by Sector Commander Desert Sector Brigadier Arshad and Cholistan Sector Colonel Habib.  While talking to officers and troops at forward locations, the director general appreciated their high morale and state of preparedness. Major General Umar Farooq Burki said the valiant jawans of Punjab Rangers would keep on working for safer and peaceful Pakistan, may it be the borders or internal security operations. 

12 cars recovered: Anti-vehicle Lifting Staff, Sadr division, claimed to have arrested two members of Fani car lifting gang and recovered 12 cars, five motorcycles, master keys and three Kg charas from their custody on Tuesday.

The suspects, identified as Farhan Maseeh alias Fani and Samina Akhtar, were arrested by a special police team.  Two accomplices of the suspects, Mumtaz Hussain and Ghani Akbar, managed to flee from scene.

The suspects would sell the stolen vehicles in FATA on much cheaper rates. The suspects have confessed to many crimes in Sattokatla, Township, Defence, Johar Town, Iqbal Town, Mustafa Town, Lower Mall, Faisal Town and other areas during initial investigations.

Rescue DG’ visit: Gilgit-Baltistani Rescue 112 Drector General Dr Sher Aziz visited Emergency Services Academy here on Tuesday.

 He held a meeting with Emergency Services Academy Director General Brig (R) Amir Hamza and discussed about the future collaboration regarding capacity building, provision of technical assistance and imparting training to the rescuers of Gilgit-Baltistan.

 Dr Sher Aziz shared that Rescue 1122 of GB comprised dedicated and hard working rescuers and it was continuously providing the best emergency medical, fire and rescue services to the citizens of Gilgit Baltistan.

He also discussed the expansion process of Emergency Services of Rescue 1122 in GB and urged the Emergency Services Academy director general to continue assisting Rescue 1122 ,GB,  in providing training and technical assistance.

Brig (R) Amir Hamza said that on special directions of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the Emergency Services Academy was providing free of cost training to the  third batch of the rescuers of GB.
