Senseless slaughter

As an advocate for animal welfare, I am compelled to express my dismay and outrage regarding the ongoing unethical practice of culling innocent stray dogs. Justified under the guise of public health or overpopulation concerns, this practice is not only morally reprehensible but also ineffective and counterproductive.

Senseless slaughter

Resorting to such barbarism reflects our collective failure as a society as we bear an obligation to protect and care for all living creatures. Stray dogs, like all sentient beings, deserve to be treated with compassion and respect. When treated kindly and spared from cruelty, these animals have the capacity to form profound bonds with humans and contribute immeasurably through companionship, loyalty, and unconditional love.

Such culling campaigns are fuelled by blind rage and bias, neglecting more humane and sustainable solutions to tackle the issue of overpopulation. Comprehensive spaying and neutering programs have consistently proven to be the most effective methods for addressing this concern, alongside the promotion of adoption and rescue initiatives. I implore the authorities to reconsider their stance on dog culling and instead commit to implementing ethical and humane alternatives that prioritize the well-being of both animals and our communities.
