Gohar accuses Nawaz of pursuing politics of deals

DAGGAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday accused the Pakistan Muslim League-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif of always pursuing the politics of deals.

Nawaz Sharif’s departure from the country and his return are both controversial as he always resorts to politics of deals†, he said while addressing a public meeting in his home district where he is a candidate for the national assembly seat in the upcoming general elections.

The PTI chief was dismissive about the Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and said he lacked the emotional appeal as he was new to politics.

“His [Bilawal’s] only objective is to get the support of independents to form the next government but he has forgotten that the independents would prove the PTI tigers,†added the PTI chief.

Speaking at various party gatherings in Juarh, Kadda, Reega, and other areas of Buner district, Barrister Gohar complained that the PTI had not been given a level playing field in the 2024 elections.

He said the most PTI leaders were either under observation or in custody with cases instituted against them which he termed baseless.

“The PTI founder has been isolated from the public, creating an impression that he has become irrelevant.
