Man arrested for killing former wife’s husband

Police promptly responded to a murder case in District East on Monday, apprehending a suspect within two hours of the crime.

The PIB police claimed to have arrested the culprit involved in the murder of a man, Adil. A police spokesperson disclosed that the suspect was identified as Riaz, who was the former husband of the victim’s wife, Maria.

Acting on a confidential information, the police apprehended Riaz while he was attempting to flee from the old Sabzi Mandi area. Riaz, also known as Raju, allegedly committed the murder due to personal enmity.

The police also claimed to have recovered the knife used in the crime. A case has been registered and the investigation is under way.
