Sirajul Haq particularly came hard on leadership of PMLN and PPP saying that their politics revolve around their family members
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ameer Sirajul Haq has called upon people to reject candidates of political parties who have been responsible for bringing the country at the verge of economic disaster on dictation of international financial institutions.
Sirajul Haq was addressing a public meeting as part of his election campaign which could be termed as the most successful power show of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
Later, Sirajul Haq also addressed an election rally of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in sector F-8 near Fatima Jinnah F-9 Park. JI candidates from Rawalpindi including Syed Arif Shirazi, Shamsur Rehman Swati, Imran Shafiq advocate while Mian Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry and Malik Abdul Aziz also addressed separate public meeting in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Sunday.
“Those who ruled over the country for four decades gave the country and its people nothing except increase in corrupt practices, inflation and price hike, lawlessness and insecurity for foreign and local investors,” the JI top leader said. He said that ongoing political confrontation between the PMLN and PPP is like fake police encounters as tomorrow the leadership would be sitting on the same table for the sake of their vested interests.
“They are PMLN and PPP who are responsible for deprivation of poor masses and the common man,” he said. Seeing enthusiasm of JI supporters and workers, he said he could say with certain that February 8 would be day of end of corruption and politics and inheritance in the country.
Sirajul Haq particularly came hard on leadership of the PMLN and PPP saying that their politics revolve around their family members.
“Zardari praises his son while Bilawal praises Zardari while Nawaz Sharif declares Shehbaz Sharif as best administrator whereas his government’s performance resulted in unprecedented price hike,” he said, adding that these politicians could not tolerate any person from outside their families. Sirajul Haq was of the view that voting for the Sharif brothers would be equal to supporting IMF policies being implemented in the country.
He said the JI would abolish the interest-based economy and ensure equal distribution of resources after coming to power. “ We will also release interest-free loans to the youth while General Sales Tax will not exceed the percentage of 5,” he said. Sirajul Haq amid slogans from party supporters and workers announced that if given a chances in power, his party would bring about revolution in the field of economy and education.
He also announced that his party’s government would get Dr. Afia Siddiqui released from US detention and bring her back to the country. The JI top leader said that the Pakistan federal capital might be the only capital in the world where residents are still deprived basic facilities like access to proper education, hospitals, water and residence.
