148 graduates awarded degrees
Islamabad : The 3rd Convocation of FG Home Economics and Management Sciences College F-11/1 was held at College premises here on Thursday.
Chief guest on the occasion was Director General FDE Tanveer Ahmed while Dean of Social Sciences from Quaid-e-Azam University Mohammad Idrees was the guest of honor for the ceremony. Principal Prof. Rozina Faheem preside the ceremony.
148 graduates were awarded degrees within the Departments of Textiles and Fashion Designing, Human and Family Development Studies, Food and Nutrition, Interior and Environmental Design and furniture designing. Moreover, six gold medals and 11 scholarships were awarded to the top position holder students of FG Home Economics College.
Former Principal Mrs. Samar Zafar gave cash prizes on her own to the students who got gold medal in different subjects. While addressing the students, the chief guest said that the development of Pakistan lies in the pursuit of modern education. The students should step into practical life.
