NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) Chairman Pervez Khattak on Sunday asked the people to vote for his party candidates in the general elections.

He made the appeal as he addressed a public meeting at Nizampur and workers’ convention in Azakhel as part of party election campaign

Pervez Khattak flayed the past governments for the economic and other problems the country was facing at present.

He accused his rival parties - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Awami National Party of having done nothing concrete to improve the lot of the people and develop the country despite enjoying powers in the past.

“Pakistan would have not been facing the financial and other difficulties had these parties worked properly when they were provided multiple opportunities to rule the country,” added the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians chief.

Pervez Khattak said his opponents had launched a propaganda against him to mislead the masses, but added that it would not work. “They say that I owe my stature to the PTI and Imran Khan but in fact it is the other way round. I formed the government in KP in 2013 and delivered for the next five years. This enabled the PTI to form the government at the Centre in 2018,” he elaborated.

Enumerating the mega projects which he had launched in Nowshera and other parts of the KP, he said these schemes brought about a change in the province and the lives of the people living here.

The PTIP chief was optimistic about the success of his party candidates in the February 8 general elections. “The PTI aspirants will face a crushing defeat at the ballot,” he claimed.

The party candidates for NA-34 and PK-89, Imran Khattak, PK- 85 aspirant, Ibrahim Khattak, and Ismail Khattak, who is vying for PK-86, addressed on the occasions as well.
