Dildar, aged 32, lost his life in the Malir City police jurisdiction on January 17, 2024, at a liquor shop located within the Malir-15 area.

SHO Farasat Hussain revealed that Dildar engaged in a heated argument with a customer. The altercation escalated into a violent clash, leading both individuals to open fire randomly. Unfortunately, Dildar succumbed to the gunfire, and the accused managed to flee the scene.

Following the incident, investigators, including the review of CCTV footage, identified the fleeing accused as Usama, wanted by the police in several criminal cases.

Upon seeing news coverage and CCTV footage on social media, Usama's father recognised his son and visited the police station. He met with SHO Malir City, Farasat Shah, and informed him about Usama's identity. Usama's father expressed willingness to assist in his son's arrest, highlighting his drug addiction and prolonged absence from home due to parental scolding. He mentioned that Usama rented a quarter near their house.

SHO Farasat Shah, pleased with the cooperation, arranged for a police party to arrest Usama. With the assistance of Usama's father and his friends, the police arrested him at his residential quarter in Quaidabad. Upon further communication with Usama's father, the police recovered the pistol used in the murder from Usama's quarters, immediately handed over to SHO Malir City police station. Further investigation was underway.
