WANA: Several Wazir tribal elders announced their affiliation with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday.
During a press conference, the Wazir tribal elders pledged their support for PPP candidates Amanullah Wazir for NA-42 in Lower and Upper South Waziristan, and Imran Mukhlis for PK-110.
Malik Dost Muhammad Tojikhel, Malik Shah Mehmood Karamazkhel, Malik Khanan Wazir, and other colleagues jointly declared their formal association with the PPP during the press conference.
Emphasising that the PPP is the party of the poor, oppressed, and destitute, the elders expressed their support for the upcoming elections.
They acknowledged PPP’s historical contributions, citing Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s role in initiating and completing major development projects that addressed the longstanding deprivations of the people of Waziristan.
