Weapons handling training begins
Islamabad : The Federal Capital Police administration has kicked off weapon handling training/course before issuance of firearms licence to the individuals by the district administration, the police sources said.
The people applied for new weapon licence or renewal, are bound to clear 3-day weapon handling course, the source said and added that the certificate issue after the completion of the course, would be essential to attach with the application or at the time of the renewal of the weapons licences.
“In future, the completion certificate of weapon handling, would be basic documents to obtained all kinds of the firearm licences,” the sources maintained and added that those who would not complete the weapon handling training, would not be eligible for applying for all kind of arms permits.
The Islamabad Capital Police have issued 77 clearance certificates after completion of the first phase of the weapon handling training of weapons, the sources concluded.
