Promotion of tourism, investment discussed
LAHORE:Under the Chairmanship of Secretary Industries and Commerce Ehsan Bhutta, a meeting of newly-appointed trade and investment officers was held in Civil Secretariat regarding the promotion of investment, in which Secretary Agriculture Nadir Chattha, PITB, PBIT, Tourism along with officers of other departments concerned participated,
Secretary Industries Ehsan Bhutta while addressing the meeting said that foreign investors need to be encouraged to invest in Pakistan with full confidence. He said that Business Facilitation Centres had changed the culture of investment. He said that there were many opportunities for tourism in Punjab and economy can be strengthened by promoting tourism.
Effective measures should be taken for the promotion of tourism, he added. Officers of PITB gave a briefing on the ongoing programmes to facilitate investors. Around 40 officers visited the first Business Facilitation Centre of Punjab, DGTP thanked Secretary Industries and Commerce Ehsan Bhutta and the Punjab government for hosting the delegation and giving shields at the end of the meeting.
