LAHORE:The City witnessed cold and foggy weather on Tuesday while Met office said that dense fog was likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during next two days.
Met officials advised the citizens to be cautious as day temperatures were likely to remain below normal in most parts of Punjab due to dense fog. They said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most plain areas of the country while very cold/partly cloudy in northern parts and dense fog/smog was likely to persist in Islamabad, plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh. Tuesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped to -08°C while in Lahore it was 4.8°C and maximum was 13°C.
