Rs7 lakh released for cops’ medical expenses

IG Punjab released the above mentioned funds after the approval of the Welfare Management Committee

LAHORE:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar released another Rs7 lakh for the medical expenses of the police employees of various districts on Monday.

According to the details, SP Fateh Ahmed of PHP Lahore was given Rs2 lakh for his wife's surgery, Constable Adeel Zafar of Khanewal was given Rs2 lakh for the treatment of brain tumor, son of Constable M Rafiq of Khanewal was given Rs1 lakh for the kidney transplant expenses. Sheikhupura traffic constable Ghulam Nawaz was given Rs76,606 for the treatment of brain tumor, PHP Punjab constable Rana M Irfan was given Rs62,158 for medical expenses whereas Constable from Multan, M Ashfaq was given Rs50,000 for the treatment of asthma.

IG Punjab released the above mentioned funds after the approval of the Welfare Management Committee and Additional IG Welfare and Finance Riaz Nazir Gara sent the above mentioned case to IG Punjab after scrutiny of documents.

Six junior clerks promoted

Six junior clerks have been promoted to the rank of senior clerks as per rules and regulations and in this regard, AIG Admin and Security has issued notification of promotions. According to the details, the promoted clerks include M Nisar, Imran Aslam, Ahmed Habib, Rashad Mehmood, Rana Faheem Akhtar and Anjum Hanif.

IG visits police stations

Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar visited various police stations and police offices in Lahore early in the morning on Monday. The IGP visited PS Ichhra, Ichhra CIA centre, PS Gulberg, PS Garden Town and PS Model Town. On the occasion, the IGP reviewed ongoing uplift projects and asked the authorities concerned to complete them as per SOPs on time. He said up-gradation of police stations and offices will improve the public service delivery.
