CDA seeks ADB help to operate electric buses
The first batch of 30 electric buses had already reached Islamabad on 6th of this month

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sought the support of Asian Development Bank (ADB) to operate 160 electric buses on 13 different routes.
In this regard, the CDA Chairman, Captain (R) Anwaarul Haq, chaired a meeting at the CDA headquarters. It was also attended by senior officials of the ADB through video link.
The first batch of 30 electric buses had already reached Islamabad on 6th of this month. The next batch of the buses would be received in Islamabad, next month.
Deputy DG of Metro Bus Project Rana Tariq Mahmood recently returned from China after pre-shipment inspection of 30 buses. These buses would be dispatched to Pakistan next month. All 160 electric buses would reach Islamabad by June, this year.
