The burnt body of a woman was discovered near a vacant plot in the Rehri Goth area on Sunday.
Upon receiving the information, police and rescuers reached the scene and transported the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where the deceased woman was identified as Hina.
Police said the body was found on a plot located in Sheikh Muhalla Chowk in Rehri Goth within the limits of the Sukkan police station. According to Sukkan SHO Zubair Nawaz, the woman reportedly had a history of drug abuse, and in the past, she had attempted self-immolation while being high on drugs.
He said there were no indications of violence on the body, and no heirs of the woman had been identified. No case had been registered till the filing of this story.
