Talking to reporters, Mujahid Ali, the father of Shaheed Aitzaz Hassan, said that his son had laid down his life for the sake of country and nation and had saved the lives of hundreds of students and staff members.

But the government, he added, was now meting out an indifferent attitude towards them despite the fact his family was passing through a difficult time.

He complained that the government neither established a school, college or sports complex in the name of his son.

He said that the government had also not honoured the pledges made at that time while the family had been facing acute problems, including financial crisis.

Shaheed Aitzaz Hassan became a national hero after he thwarted the terrorist attack and saved hundreds of lives on January 6, 2014.
