ZAB birth anniversary celebrated
PESHAWAR: The provincial chapter of the Pakistan People’s Party ( PPP) arranged a function in the provincial metropolis on Friday to mark the 96th birth anniversary of the party founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
A senior party leader and former health minister, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, chaired the function which was attended by Syed Ayub Shah, Zulfiqar Afghani, other leaders and workers. The speakers paid rich tributes to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for his services to the nation and the country.
They said the great leader was born on January 5, 1928 and was hanged on April 4, 1979 during the martial law regime after rendering commendable services to the country. The speakers said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the voice to the voiceless, put the country on the road to progress and gave first unanimous constitution to the country. They vowed to work for the accomplishment of his mission which, they said, was welfare of the masses and making the country strong.
