Man kills sister-in-law over domestic issue

LAHORE : A man has murdered his sister-in-law over a domestic dispute in the Gujjarpura area.

Reportedly, the suspect Munir had a dispute with his sister-in-law Rukhsana Bibi. He was so annoyed with her that he shot at the victim. She received bullet injuries and died. The suspect afterwards fled the scene. Her body was moved to morgue.

Two women shot at, injured

Two women were injured in an incident of firing in the air in Gulshan-e-Ravi.

Two suspects reportedly had resorted to firing in Toheed Block. As a result, two women had received bullet injuries. They were identified as Arooba, 16, and Zeenat, 27. Police arrested two suspects involved in the incident. They were identified as Qamar Abbass and Hasnain.

Police also recovered automatic rifles, pistols and bullets from their custody. A case under attempt to murder and other offences was registered against them.

Man booked for carrying illegal firearm

The first FIR of year 2024 was registered in the Baghbanpura area against a suspect for carrying illegal firearm.

The arrested suspect identified as Shahbaz Khokhar, a resident of Awan Dhai Wala, Manawan, was checked by a police team near Shalimar over deeming suspicious.

He was wearing a shawl. When police checked him, he was carrying a Kalashnikov on his shoulders. Police arrested the suspect and registered a case under Punjab Arms Ordinance.
