Motorway closed due to heavy fog

LAHORE:Due to heavy fog in Punjab, the motorway was closed to traffic at various places. According to the spokesperson for Motorway, due to heavy fog, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Hiran Minar was closed, Motorway M3 was closed from Samundari to Darkhana, Motorway M4 from Sher Shah to Faisalabad, Motorway M5 from Sher Shah to Zahir Pir. And Lahore-Sialkot Motorway has been closed.

The spokesperson said that the motorways are closed to ensure safety and safe travel of the general public. Citizens should prefer to travel during the maximum hours of the day, from 10am to 6pm are the best travel times during foggy weather. Motorway Police spokesman Imran Ahmed further said that unnecessary travel should be avoided due to heavy fog, citizens should avoid high speed, keep proper distance from the next vehicle, use front and rear fog lights and information and Contact helpline 130 for assistance.
