Robbers loot cash, valuables from retired doctor’s house

Police on Tuesday registered a case against unidentified robbers for stealing cash and valuable items from the residence of a retired doctor in the Gulberg area of District Central.

The incident, captured on CCTV, was also circulated widely on social media. As reported by the police, the robbery occurred at a house in Block 10 of Federal B Area. Three robbers entered the house, making away with Rs1.5 million in cash, gold jewellery, and mobile phones before making their escape.

The complainant, Masroor Ahmed, lodged a complaint at the Gulberg police station. He stated that he and his family were at home on Monday night when the three robbers entered through the main gate. The intruders, armed with guns, held the family members hostage before fleeing with the stolen cash and valuables. The police had initiated an investigation into the case, and a formal complaint had been registered against the unknown suspects. Further inquiries were currently underway to apprehend the culprits.
