Election results to be different in Sindh this time, says Bashir Memon
HYDERABAD: President Sindh Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Bashir Memon, while holding a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club on Friday, said that the PML-N would fully participate in the coming general elections from Sindh this time.
He said the party will show full strength through alliances and seat adjustments, which will make the election different, and the results will also be different in Sindh this time.
Memon said that the manifesto of the PML-N is to improve the economic situation. First, the party will reduce inflation for the people and provide employment.
He said the PPP’s Sindh government has spent 20 thousand billion rupees in 15 years, out of which only the NICVD and Gambat Institute have been built. “This is public money, and only two hospitals with few branches have been built in it. Everything will be questioned and accounted for.”
Memon said fans from all the districts of Sindh reached Lahore to welcome Nawaz Sharif on his return home. “The difference that is visible in Sindh today has come after the return of Mian Nawaz Sharif because the people of Sindh also want development like Shahbaz Speed.”
He said the PML-N is negotiating with the MQM in Sindh to make a strategy for Karachi and Hyderabad, and the work of election strategy, including seat adjustment is also going on with other parties, and the results of which will start to be seen after a few days.
In response to a question, Memon said that the party also has objections to the returning officers. The PML-N has formally complained to the Election Commission that these ROs are not acceptable to us, and most of the officers’ sympathies are still with one party, he added.
In response to another question, he said that if Nawaz Sharif is getting justice now, he is being called Ladla. However, the UK’s National Crime Agency said no money laundering had taken place, he said.
The MQM has been told that not just for Karachi or Hyderabad, but now this demand to made to give equal rights to all the citizens of the country, he said, adding that the 18th Amendment was not passed by one person or one party, but by all parties, but now one party has played the provincial card a lot and is still playing it. On February 8, the people of Sindh will take account of corruption, fifty thousand acres of land, and 25 sugar mills.
After the press conference, Memon participated in the workers’ convention at a private club in Hyderabad along with Nehal Hashmi and Kheal Das Kohistani and said that they will achieve a historic success by participating in the elections in Sindh.
Hashmi, while addressing the general workers’ meeting, said that it is being understood that the PML-N will not come to Sindh. “Is Sindh the fiefdom of a party? Yes, PML-N will not come into corruption because corruption is the PPP’s domain,” he said. Kohistani said that this is the first worker programme in the province.
