Rind dismisses several cops over inaction against crime
Karachi police chief Additional IG Khadim Hussain Rind has taken strict action against several police officers for allegedly supporting crime and not taking action against criminals.
The dismissed officers are ASI Abdur Rauf, former head Mohrir of the Darakhshan police station, Head Constable Mansoor, HC Zubair Ahmed and Police Constable Kashif.
Five other police officials -- police constables Saqib, Mudassar, Gul Abbas, Adil Hussain and Naeem -- have also been punished.
Rind has also ordered departmental action against former SHO Ali Raza Leghari, SI Salman Thebo, Habib Khan, PC Aqib Javed after the names of the former SHO came up in an inquiry. These officers allegedly used to support dance parties in exchange for bribes of millions of rupees. He said that while many projects are being implemented for the welfare of the personnel, strict action will also be taken against black sheep.
