PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Friday ordered the Swabi police to recover a four-year-old child and produce him in the court at the next hearing.
A two-member bench of the PHC consisting of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah issued the short order on a writ petition filed for the recovery of a four-year-old child. In the written order, the bench ordered the district police officer, Swabi, and the station house officer of the Kalu Khan Police Station to recover the child and produce him in the court at the next hearing.
According to the court order, the father of the child was trying to take him out of the country, therefore, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should take steps to prevent his father from doing so. A copy of the short court order was sent to the FIA. During the hearing, the court was informed that the boy was snatched from his mother by force. The petition was filed for the recovery of the child. The court adjourned the hearing until January 1.
