Rawalpindi: Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health and Population Welfare Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir has said that the Punjab government was taking practical steps to improve and standardize health facilities throughout Punjab, says a Handout.
The work which could not be completed in many years in the past several years has been done by the caretaker government in a few months. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi is working with speed and in a few months the caretaker government of Punjab has done record works for public welfare.
He expressed these views while addressing the 31st Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Pakistan (APSP) International Congress at a local hotel here. He said that for the first time in Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, revamping and development work is being done with planning which will be completed in four months.
Construction work is also going on at the second floor of Benazir Bhutto Hospital. A fund of Rs10 crore has been sanctioned for this. A burn hospital is being built for the first time in Rawalpindi. The Punjab government is taking steps to ensure the provision of quality health facilities.
For the first time, around 100 hospitals are being revamped and repaired across Punjab. The government is trying to appoint pediatric surgeons in all 36 districts of Punjab. As many as 750 ambulances have been provided in primary health centers and rural health centers. Free ambulance service is being provided. Now in case of any emergency one can get ambulance facility by calling 1037 helpline.
The basic scale of 43,000 lady workers has been upgraded from 5 to 8. He said that the work that our government is doing They are in front of everyone. All work is done with good intentions.
