Probe continuing into MDCAT ‘paper leak’: PMDC chief
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) President Dr Rizwan Taj has acknowledged social media reports alleging an alleged leak of the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) paper, which was conducted under the supervision of the DOW University of Health Sciences (DUHS).
While talking to this scribe, he stated that he has initiated an investigation into the matter by contacting both the DUHS vice-chancellor and the Sindh chief secretary. He emphasized that both authorities have denied the allegations of the paper leak, saying the news is not correct and question papers were released by students post-test at 4pm as the test had ended at 2pm.
However, concerns raised by students on social media remain. They question the feasibility of leaking the entire test paper through WhatsApp or social media, given the ban on mobile phones and smart watches at the test centres. Additionally, they have expressed dissatisfaction with the test’s content, citing questions beyond the prescribed syllabus and errors in the answer keys.
