Jumani hands over relief consignment for people in Gaza
Sindh caretaker local government minister Muhammad Mubeen Jumani on Saturday handed over a consignment comprising relief goods to the non-profit JDC Foundation for dispatching it to help the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza.
The relief consignment belonged to the Hidayat Jumani Welfare Trust, the welfare organisation named after the mother of the interim LG minister. The consignment comprised food items, medicines, diapers for children, hygiene kits, water, juice, and other beverages and essential items for the people of Gaza.
Speaking on the occasion, Jumani condemned the brutal aggression of the Israeli forces against the innocent people in Gaza, including women, children and the elderly.
He hoped that Muslims around the world would come forward and massively support the Palestinians in serious distress.
He said the Muslim nations should come to the emergency aid of the people of Gaza.
He mentioned that the oppressed Palestinians urgently require essential food items and medicines for their very survival, so Muslims all over the world should fulfil their humanitarian obligations by sending these goods.
He appreciated the efforts of the JDC Foundation and its chief Zafar Abbas for conducting the emergency relief campaign for the residents of Gaza. He said that other humanitarian and relief organisations should follow in the footsteps of the JDC Foundation for helping their oppressed Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Jumani said the relief consignment handed over by him mainly comprised essential food items and medicines, adding that he would hand over more such aid packages for the people of Gaza. He reiterated his resolve to continue supporting the oppressed people of Palestine keeping in view their continuing ordeal.
