BANNU: A minor girl of a displaced family was killed and 17 others sustained injuries in road accident on the Indus Highway on Saturday.
The hospital sources said that a car carrying 18 children of displaced families from North Waziristan to their rented home when it overturned on the Indus Highway. All the occupants of the car were wounded and shifted to the Khalifa Gulnawaz Memorial Hospital in Bannu where five-year-old girl identified as Sawayya succumbed to her injuries.
The condition of some of the injured was stated to be critical.
