Alleged killer held in Hangu
HANGU: The police arrested an accused involved in the killing of a nephew and injuring his sister and another nephew in Bilal Colony in Wrasta locality on Wednesday
The police said that accused Wahid Gul had opened fire on his sister and her two sons Saqib, 12, and Muhammad Imtiaz in Bilal Colony in Wrasta locality some three days ago.
They said that the accused had fled the scene after committing the crime. However, District Police Officer Nisar Ahmad Khan took serious notice of the gruesome incident and directed the City police to arrest the accused as soon as possible. The local residents had also resented the incident and demanded arrest of the accused forthwith.
A special team headed by Sub-Divisional Deputy Police Officer and Station House Officer Fayyaz Khan raided a house in Bilal Colony in Wrasta locality and arrested the accused.Injured Imtiaz had nominated his maternal uncle in the first information report.The motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity between the two families.
