Water tanker crushes mother, infant to death in Orangi Town

A tragic incident unfolded in the Aligarh Colony of Orangi Town where a water tanker collided with a family on a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a mother and her infant son.

Moosa and his wife, 23-year-old Sidra, were taking their ailing six-month-old son, Ramazan, to thospital. The devastating accident occurred when they reached Qasba Morr and were struck from behind by the speeding water tanker. The collision caused the motorcycle to crash into an electric pole, resulting in a loud explosion. The driver of the water tanker fled the scene, leaving the tanker behind.

Sidra and her son Ramazan succumbed to their injuries, while Moosa was left injured. He was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors reported his condition as serious.

A case has been registered and an investigation into the incident has begun, with the hope of identifying those responsible and ensuring justice for the grieving family.

A week ago on October 27, a minor girl was killed, and her mother and a rickshaw driver were injured as a speeding car hit the rickshaw in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

The incident occurred near Perfume Chowk in Gulistan-e-Jauhar’s Block 18 within the remits of the Sharea Faisal police station. The deceased was identified as eight-year-old Ayesha.
