PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan has directed to immediately open the recent rain and flood-affected link roads in Hazara and Malakand divisions.
He on receiving certain public complaints in this respect promptly contacted Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Jamaluddin Shah, all deputy commissioners and town or tehsil municipal administrations to start work on the damaged link roads forthwith and ensure its opening for general transport within 48 hours, said a communiqué.
Meanwhile, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development while appointing Secretary Local Council Board Syed Zafar Ali Shah his focal person has tasked him to rush to the severely affected districts in Malakand and Hazara regions and report the progress of opening the damaged of closed link roads.
