Kamal’s plea for party registration incomplete: ECP
ISLAMABAD:The founder of a newly formed political party and former mayor of Karachi, Mustafa Kamal, has approached the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for registration of Pak Sarzameen Party.
Yes, we have received an application from Mustafa Kamal for registration of his party without its constitution and manifesto, sources in the Election Commission said. They said as per party registration rules and regulations, the application submitted by Kamal was incomplete.
The ECP informed him, through a letter, regarding submission of the incomplete application and directed him to submit complete application as per party Act.The sources said that asset and source of income of the party had also not been mentioned in the application.There is no information regarding party office-bearers and party election; however, Mustafa Kamal’s name was mentioned as party chairman in the application, the sources informed.
