GOC inaugurates 2 uplift projects
CHITRAL: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Malakand Division, Major General Nadir Khan on Thursday formally inaugurated two projects including restoration of Hostel for Women and Children at District Headquarters Hospital Chitral and protection walls of Frontier Corps Public School.
Commandant Chitral Scouts Colonial Nizamuddin Shah, Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) and project manager PATRIP Khadimullah and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
The two projects were completed under the PEACE project of the European Union. Major General Nadir Khan appreciated the EU for supporting people-friendly projects in far-flung areas.
He also lauded the SRSP for involving the community in the development projects. “The involvement of the community is key to the success of any project,” he added.The locals appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army and SRSP for launching uplift works in the region.
