Services in shelter homes restored
PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtun- khwa has restored services in all panahgahs (shelter homes) run under the social welfare department.
The department through a notification said: “All the services in panahgahs/ shelter homes working under the auspices of the Welfare board, Directorate of Social Welfare have been restored. The shelter homes which are working under the social welfare department have started provision of services from Monday.”
Meanwhile, the Social Welfare Department’s personnel arrested nine male female professional beggars. On the directives of Special Assistant to Caretaker Chief Minister KP for Zakat Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education and Women Empowerment Salma Begum, the darul kafala team raided in different busy public places and markets including Gulbahar, Anum Sanum Chowk, Saddar, Ring Road, Nishtar Abad and Kohat Road and arrested four males and five female professional beggars.
