KARACHI: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his French partner Gilles Simon moved into the second round of men’s doubles in Miami Open, US, on Sunday.
The unseeded pair of Aisam and Simon, ranked 48th and 261st, respectively, defeated the unseeded duo of Daniel Nestor of Canada and Radek Stepanek of Czechoslovakia 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of this ATP-1000 event.
They will face the French pair of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut, ranked 12th and 7th, respectively, in the second round.
