Alleged robber killed in encounter

An alleged bandit was gunned down in a shoot-out with the Rizvia Society police in their jurisdiction on Wednesday.
According to the police, the encounter took place when a police team tried to stop a robbery bid near Usmania Colony in Nazimabad.
Three robbers were reportedly looting a man, Roshan, after intercepting his vehicle.
On seeing the police party, the robbers opened fire on them and as the officers retaliated, one of them was killed while the other two managed to flee.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately; however, according to police, he appeared to be 20 years old. The looted cash, mobile phone and a TT pistol was also found him.
