Five die in Nasirabad landmine blast

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Five persons, including two brothers, died and one sustained injuries in a landmine blast in the Soonwah area of Nasirabad district on Monday.
According to the police, a Chithar-bound pickup coming from Dera Murad Jamali stumbled over a landmine. Five persons, including a retired police sub-inspector, died while Syed Irfan Shah was wounded.
The dead included ex sub-inspector Muhammad Salleh Shah, Qurban Shah, two brothers Yar Muhammad and Muhammad Ibrahim, and a Hindu trader Lal Chand. The injured was shifted to a nearby hospital. Local administration officials and police reached the blast site and cordoned off the area.
