Pakistan wants ties with India on basis of equality: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants relations with India on the basis of friendship, respect and equality. The prime minister said this in a letter to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
He extended his best wishes to his Indian counterpart on the 66th Republic Day of India. Nawaz Sharif wished for the development and prosperity of the Indian people.
The PM said Pakistan wants friendly and cordial ties with India. He said Pakistan is committed to building its relations with India to safeguard mutual interests and sovereignty. He said the cherished goal of a peaceful and prosperous South Asia could be achieved by joint efforts in the interest of the people of the region.
