Pakistan desires terror-free world: Pervaiz
ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has reiterated Pakistan’s desire to see the world free of terrorism.Talking to Radio Pakistan, the Minister said terrorism is a worldwide phenomenon and the international community is acknowledging Pakistan’s role in eradicating it. To a question about operation Zarb-e-Azb, the minister said terrorists have either been killed or arrested or on the run. He said Pakistan is destined to become a peaceful country, as a result of steps taken by the government during last two years. The minister said Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its soil for terrorism against any other country.
Answering a question, he said border areas of Afghanistan have become safe havens of terrorists and Afghan government will have to dismantle terrorists’ hideouts. He said Pakistan will extend cooperation to Afghanistan to establish peace in the area. Referring to Pathankot incident, Pervaiz said Pakistan is committed to go to any extent for elimination of terrorism.
