Khattak for judicious use of uplift funds

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday urged the elected public representatives to stay vigilant to ensure judicious utilisation of uplift funds.

A handout said that he was talking to a delegation of MPAs, who called on him at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here.

 The MPAs included Saleh Mohammad Khan, Sardar Zahoor, Mian Ziaur Rehman, Sheraz Khan and parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sardar Aurangzeb Nalotha.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that the public representatives should keep a vigilant eye on development work to ensure judicious utilisation of funds.

Pervez Khattak said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government introduced a democratic governance system and discouraged transfer and posting on political basis.

Highlighting the reforms introduced by his government, Pervez Khattak said that result-oriented reforms were brought in to ensure efficient delivery of services in the educational and medical institutions of the province.

The chief minister said the government was focusing on tackling the issue of staff shortage in the institutions.

He said 400 higher secondary schools of the province were being upgraded while provision of furniture was also being ensured.
