Soldiers shoot, injure man for not stopping at checkpoint

JAMRUD: A man sustained injuries when soldiers fired at him when he did not stop at a checkpoint in Jabba area, official sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that a teacher of a private school identified as Faizullah was riding home on his motorcycle at midnight when the soldiers opened fire on him at the roadside checkpoint in Jabba after he did not stop for identification.
The security forces sources said the soldiers fired at him when the bike rider ignored the signal to stop for identification at the checkpoint. They said he sustained injuries and the soldiers shifted him to a hospital. The security forces have imposed ban on motorcycle riding in several areas in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency.
