Strict action ordered against kite flyers
From Our Correspondent
OKARA: District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Rana Wednesday ordered a strict action against violators of the Kite Flying Act (KFA).
Chairing a meeting of the SDPOs and the SHOs of the district in his office, the DPO said the complete implementation on the National Action Plan (NAP) would be helpful in promoting a positive thinking in the masses.
Regarding the KFA act, he said no leniency should be shown in taking action against kite and string makers and kite flyers, saying that nobody would be allowed to play with lives of the people under the pretext of festival or culture.
The DPO asked the police officers to perform duty without any fear or pressure, saying that a strict action would be taken against the cops found oblivious to their duty.
He said the SP (Investigations) would head a team which would report him daily about the cops’ performance against kite flyers in the district.
